George W. Greene, Esq., the Healthcare Association of Hawaii’s President and CEO, has been named one of “20 for the Next 20” people to watch by Hawaii Business Magazine.
National Healthcare Decisions Day is April 16, 2014. The goal of National Healthcare Decisions Day is to have every hospital, community center, nursing home, newspaper, church and others help the public better understand end-of-life planning and advance directives.
With a focus on education, this annual day helps increase the number of people who understand the importance of end-of-life planning, talking with their loved ones and completing an advance directive. From hosting education sessions for the community and hospital staff to making advance directives available, there are many ways to be involved.
CMS has made an exception in the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Competitive Bidding Program to award two more local supplier contracts: Aloha Medical and American Home Care Systems, both of which are physically located on the island of Oahu.
“We are appreciative of the Congressional Delegation’s efforts on this issue, and for being extremely responsive to Hawaii’s healthcare provider needs,” said HAH CEO George Greene.
