GET READY NOW… Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM) IS COMING

* The new PDPM begins October 1, 2019
* Patient clinical characteristics in totality will determine payment
* Quick and highly accurate assessment and diagnosis will be critical
* Payment will no longer be focused on therapy minutes and ADLs but will rely on over 180 MDS item fields
* Failing to accurately code patient needs will have a significant impact on adequate and accurate payment for high quality care
* Staff roles must change to operate effectively under PDPM

IT’S COMING AND WE CAN HELP

The PDPM ACADEMY is a 10-month training effort to help centers prepare for this massive change.

PDPM ACADEMY is Both In-Person Training and Continuing Updates and Support

Provider members of AHCA and the Healthcare Association of Hawaii who register for the PDPM ACADEMY will have access to:
* PDPM 101 workshop webinar
* One-day in person training workshop on March 15, 2019
* Monthly workshop webinars on key topics and emerging PDPM issues
* How To: webinars on implementing additional tools developed by AHCA

At the in-person workshop, participants will go in-depth with hands on experiential learning by:
1. Aligning buildings and companies to transition to PDPM
2. Classifying residents in case mix groups
3. Assessing market position in a PDPM environment
4. Using organizational, business, and management tools to reconfigure business planning.

Enroll in the PDPM Academy to get the knowledge and support you need for a successful transition to PDPM.

Who should register:

PDPM is going to change the future of long term and post-acute care! For a successful transition, an interdisciplinary PDPM Transition Team is critical. The AHCA PDPM Academy Workshop has been designed to lay the foundation for not just a transition person but a PDPM transition team, comprised of:

  • Administrators and Other SNF Leadership
  • MDS Coordinators and Other Resident Assessment Staff
  • Nursing, Therapy and Other Care Staff
  • Billing and Coding Staff

*Registration is limited to HAH and AHCA nursing facility members only.
