ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training – is a TWO-DAY workshop which provides training in how to recognize, assess, and support a person in crisis.  ASIST is designed for individuals who want to gain additional skills to directly intervene with a person at risk for suicide (i.e., beyond the skills learned via safeTALK).  This is a highly interactive and practice-oriented workshop which uses a variety of methods including group discussion, videos, and role-play.

A map of the UH Maui College campus can be found at the very bottom of the campus’ home page:

1) Attendees must be present for BOTH FULL DAYS to receive certification.

2) Please be on time – late‐comers may be turned away.

3) Meals will NOT be provided, but there will be ample time to purchase lunch on or off‐site (or you may bring lunch).
