2024 Healthcare Workforce Initiative Report
HEALTHCARE WORKFORCE STUDY SHOWS POSITIVE IMPACT OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING INITIATIVES, BUT GROWING NEED FOR SERVICES
We are pleased to announce the third Healthcare Workforce Initiative Report.
When we look at the data in this 2024 report, the state’s need for healthcare professionals has decreased over the past two years because training initiatives have increased the supply of workers, but demand for healthcare professionals continues to grow because of an aging population.
The data indicates that Hawai‘i needs to continue to grow its healthcare workforce if it is to meet the health and wellness needs of its residents and visitors.
