Reducing Litigation Risk for SNF & AL
Overview
This 12-month compliance and risk management focused webinar series will provide the healthcare professional with insight into the long-term care litigation process and best practices for avoiding lawsuits. Instructors will include a LTC Legal Nurse Consultant with guest sessions by experienced nursing home defense attorneys. Monthly discussion will include “hot topics” that are frequently the focus of litigation measures. Checklists and tools will be provided to assist in assessing and monitoring high litigation risk within facility settings.
Each webinar is 60 minutes in length and registration includes access to on-demand content.

Continuing Education
Twelve (12) continuing education (CE) contact hours for nursing home administrators and nurses are pending for this series. To be eligible for a CE certificate each person must register for the series, pay the registration fee, attend the session(s) via the webinar software on your computer or via the GoTo Webinar™ mobile app, and complete the corresponding HAH evaluation(s). Phone only attendance is not tracked.
Proactive LTC Consulting is managing all NAB credits; HAH is managing ANCC and NASW credits.
Valid for the live webinars only: One (1) NAB contact hour has been approved for each session. Nursing Home Administrators must provide their NAB ID # when registering in order for CE credit to be automatically uploaded to their NAB Registry account. (Example of NAB ID #: R1234567).
Valid for the live (through 1/21/2027) and on-demand content (through 1/21/2028): This nursing continuing professional development activity is pending approval by Oregon Nurses Association, an accredited approver of the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation, for one (1) nursing contact hour per webinar.
