Donate to Western Samoa
Hawaii Healthcare Emergency Management is coordinating the rostering of healthcare personnel from Hawaii organizations with the State of Hawaii Lieutenant Governor Josh Green to send medical supplies and medical personnel to Apia, Western Samoa to assist in the measles outbreak.
As of 12/3/19 morning 3,881 cases reported, 55 measles related deaths.
Among the organizations with personnel volunteering to serve are: The Queen’s Health Systems, Adventist Health Castle, Maui Health System, Saint Francis Healthcare System, Kahuku Medical Center, and others.
Anyone wishing to donate money for medical supplies or assistance to Samoa may donate to the Hawaii Hospital Education and Research Foundation (HHERF), the 501(3) nonprofit foundation of the Healthcare Association of Hawaii. 100% of what is donated will go directly toward support of the medical mission to Western Samoa to address the measles epidemic and will be used for supplies, equipment and shipping.
