Course Description

Join us as Alan Yamamoto, Hawaii Occupational Safety & Health (HIOSH) Consultation Program Manager, discusses the new Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS). Alan will review exemptions and the standard, and will share expectations of Hawaii's inspectors.

Alan Yamamoto

Alan Yamamoto has been with the Hawaii Occupational Safety and Health Division, or HIOSH, for the past 21 years.  He spent his first eleven-and-a-half years with the Enforcement Branch of the Division, specializing in Occupational Health. 

Nine years ago, Alan moved to the Consultation & Training Branch of the Division, where he could better utilize his knowledge and assist employers in creating a safe and healthful workplace, rather than citing and penalizing them.
