Monoclonal Antibodies - What You Need to Know

Course Description

COVID-19 infections are on the rise again with the emergence of the Delta variant. Monoclonal antibodies and therapeutics have shown to be effective for the treatment of mild to moderate COVID-19 in adults and pediatric patients 12 years of age and older who have a positive COVID-19 test and who are at high risk for progression to severe COVID-19, including hospitalization or death.

Join us as Pamela Truscott, Director of Clinical and Regulatory Services with the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL), discusses the use of monoclonal antibodies and the role that your facility can play in reducing the risk of your residents progressing to severe COVID-19 when treated early using monoclonal antibodies.

After participating in this presentation, registrants will be able to:

  1. Identify the parameters of the emergency use authorization for monoclonal antibodies

  2. Discuss how the long-term care facility can administer monoclonal antibodies

  3. Describe the process for administration of monoclonal antibodies

  4. Explain the process for reimbursement of the monoclonal antibodies

Participation in the live webinar is limited to the first 100 participants. This session will be recorded and made available on the HAH website for on-demand viewing within one week of the live webinar date.

Please note: there is no continuing education credit associated with this informational webinar.
